Le’at Le’at
Slowly slowly
I try to be
when time gets away from me
Time is fickle
Sort of like water
I can make it ripple,
Even make it broader
If I just close my eyes
And breathe
I can edit and revise
What I choose to believe
It starts with the body
A waterfall becomes a gentle stream
And I can slow my movements
to make my attention follow an ongoing theme
When I think about time
I get stressed
I yearn to define
that which I cannot protest
But if I stop thinking so much
And just be
I can appreciate just a touch
Of what it feels like to live free
Slowly slowly
Calmly calmly
Joyfully joyfully
Wholly wholly
Time is a gift
Use it wisely
Remember that when we are adrift, we can always shift
From flailing to floating
lightly
The magic is in the body
The change is in the mind
So what better time than now?
To just enjoy and unwind
I dare you
next time you are inclined to hurry
to go
slowly slowly
